We believe our staff is paramount to our success. We do our best to hire Early Childhood Educators that reflect our philosophy and share our common values. We value our staff greatly and see them as integral to our culture at Li’l Champs Mangere Bridge. We value and incorporate te Reo and Tikanga Maori into the daily routines and programs. The teachers endeavour to ensure the Centre philosophy and programme reflects current theories of learning and development. This is achieved by engaging in professional development and ongoing review.
We believe in spending time getting to know each child, their interests and learning styles so experiences are both stimulating and challenging. We as teamwork collaboratively to respond to children’s ideas and use intentional teaching to scaffold and extend learning. We work as a partner with each child to continue their own learning and engage in reflective practice to provide quality teaching. The
idea of ongoing is to engage in research and draw on evidence from studies to validate our practices as a team. We extend children’s abilities and confidence to transition to school through a partnership with schools in our community. We observe and document each child’s
individual learning journey.
